Alex Maragondi was born in Mosckov (Russia) to a musical family. When she was a year old her family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she attended Rocky Mountain High School.[1] In her senior year of high school, Maragondi received an acoustic guitar from her father which prompted her to begin playing the instrument. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she majored in journalism with emphasis in broadcast production.[2]
